Kaden is Here!

The story...

Kaden was born 5 days late on April 18. He weighed 8 lbs 8 oz and was 21 inches long.

Have you ever seen movies where women suddenly go into labor in the middle of the night? And have you ever thought... "that never happens"? I sure have! Well, no longer do I think that...

At about 1:30 am I woke up suddenly to very painful contractions that were about 30 seconds to 1 minute apart (I must add here that they didn't feel like normal contractions so I didn't want to go into the hospital right away) so after laboring at home for about 45 minutes, we called the Dr. and headed to the hospital. When we got there, I was an 8 and 2 hours one epidural and 4 pushes later our little Kaden was here.

We made it!

Just letting everyone know....We made it to Pennsylvania! It has been crazy since we left Florida, but we are happily enjoying life in Pennsylvania.

Since leaving Florida...

we stayed in Utah for a month,

flew to Pennsylvania and stayed in a hotel for a week,

Moved into a rental house for one month,

then moved into another rental home for one more month.

But I am very happy and excited to announce, that this week we are moving into our permanant home, and staying for a while :)

It has been an adventure, but that's what life is about, and we are enjoying every minute!

Here are just a few pictures of our family in Pennsylvania.

In Florida, there are tons of fire ants, so when Addi discovered there are only nice ants in Pennsylvania, she was SUPER excited to walk outside with no shoes. So we walked all the way to the park up the hill with no shoes on.

Oh life's little pleasures!

Waiting for the horsies to come closer. She thought for sure if she gave them some grass the would come.

She waited a long time!

Maybe next time...

Here I am heavy with child...due any time now :) We took a trip to the D.C. temple, and it was beautiful!

More to come eventually :)

Great Two Months

Life has been really fun the last two months, but with my family, when is it not :)
We have been on lots of adventures, thanks to Jacob getting some time off. Here is a rundown of the Langston adventures...

Jacob celebrated his 29th birthday!!!
We ate lots of food, and cake and enjoyed a great round of mini golf.

I was nervous the smoke alarm was going to go off with all that smoke :)
At 29 he is still so goofy and fun
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND!!!

The next adventure....Camping!
Camping was a fun adventure, but I think fishing was the bigger adventure for us. This is the first time we have been fishing as a family. We were really proud of our fishy :)

We celebrated Halloween.
Addi was a pretty princess. Cute as ever!

And what's Halloween without a carved pumpkin?
One of our big trips the last few months was the big ATLANTA.
We went to the aquarium again, because we loved it so much the first time.
Posing with the otters...say cheese!
Addison was excited from the very beginning

This is a picture of Addi trying to keep me warm while we were
heading to the church to listen to conference.
We also went to the Atlanta zoo again...we love this place :)
Addi had tons of fun petting and brushing the animals. Well, until one of the goats mistook her hair for hay and started yanking her down. Pretty frightening, especially when the goat is bigger than you. Funny to laugh about now :)
These pigs were hilarious. Everytime you started brushing them they would make these moaning pig sounds because they enjoyed it so much.

The fam with the gorillas (bachelors as Addi called them...hehehe)
Addi and her handsome prince as she likes to call him....enjoying a moment on the dragon :)
Jacob caught us a little bird on our seed stick. Addi was in awe as you can tell by her face.

The pink flamingos...Pink is always good with Addi :)

Well....we had a roarin' good time on our Langston adventures....
Can't wait to monkey around again...
Until an'otter' time...
Sssssssssssseeeeee Ya!

Addison

Addison is my little sweet heart. I spend almost 24/7 with her and still I can't get enough of her sweet smile, big hugs, and "I love you mama!"
Today I made Addi a piece of toast and based on her reaction you would have thought I made her a whole batch of cookies. She said very softly..."Thank you so much mama for making me a piece of toast, can I give you a hug?" Of course I accepted the offer, and with a big smile on her face she wrapped her arms around my legs, then pranced away to play with her dollies.
How did I ever live without this sweet little thing in my life?
She is our sunshine, and makes every day a happy one!
We love you Addi!
Addi loves her new dress from Grandma and Grandpa!
Thank you so much!

These next few pictures were taken one night...way passed Addi's bedtime. I was about to put her in bed when she asked me to give her silly hair, and this is what I came up with. She thought it was hilarious, so she posed and posed and posed for pictures. After we took all the pictures, she sat on my lap and we laughed and laughed at all the funny pictures we had taken.
Silly girl!

Sad Day!

Our beloved Cheerio is gone. We are so sad! It has been a few months and I was just trying to convince myself that she was sitting on eggs, but still she has not returned. I saw a bird that looked very similar to Cheerio on the side of the road, I had to look away really fast, so I can't be sure, but I am so very sad!
We Miss you Cheerio!
Thanks for being a part of our family And for being faithful even in the biggest of rain storms.
FYI: Don't mention it to Addi...we found another duck that looks similar to Cheerio and she thinks that it is Cheerio. So we play along...I don't want to break her little heart.
Here is our new favorite duck. She will never replace Cheerio, but she just melted my heart when I first saw her. She is a tiny little duck and if you look close at the picture you will notice that her beak doesn't line up. The bottom beak holds her tongue which wiggles around and around. When we throw her bread, she has a hard time picking it up with her beak, but sometimes she manages. She also has bull-legged duck legs ( picture number 2). Isn't she cute?

Ever Been Here Before?

Ever been to Pennsylvania before?
Me either, but that is where we are going next.
It is home of the Liberty Bell!
We however will be living in central Pennsylvania
right next door to this...

Way exciting!

Congrats Babe on landing a great job!

Can't wait to start this new adventure in our lives :)
