Our beloved Cheerio is gone. We are so sad! It has been a few months and I was just trying to convince myself that she was sitting on eggs, but still she has not returned. I saw a bird that looked very similar to Cheerio on the side of the road, I had to look away really fast, so I can't be sure, but I am so very sad!

And for being faithful even in the biggest of rain storms. FYI: Don't mention it to Addi...we found another duck that looks similar to Cheerio and she thinks that it is Cheerio. So we play along...I don't want to break her little heart.
Here is our new favorite duck. She will never replace Cheerio, but she just melted my heart when I first saw her. She is a tiny little duck and if you look close at the picture you will notice that her beak doesn't line up. The bottom beak holds her tongue which wiggles around and around. When we throw her bread, she has a hard time picking it up with her beak, but sometimes she manages. She also has bull-legged duck legs ( picture number 2). Isn't she cute?

I am truly sorry about cherrio, but I love the other duck. One of our chicken's has a beak similar to that duck and I just love her. She also has a hard time eating, but it just makes us love her more.

You weren't a kidding about the beak. I sure hope that he doesn't starve to death.
