Easter Celebration

This is one of my favorite times of year! The weather is starting to warm up, the blossoms are overflowing on the trees and tiny little ducklings are starting to hatch. And all over the globe people are rejoicing and celebrating the life of our Savior Jesus Christ.
I am so grateful for my Savior and for the Atonement and His Ressurection!
I know He lives and we will live again too!

Here is how we celebrated Easter!
We colored Easter Eggs...Addi love it!
Primary Activity
First we visited the nursing home and sang primary songs to the residents, then we had an Easter egg hunt.
This first picture is of Addison and her best friend! These two are always holding hands and sitting next to each other. It puts a big smile on my face to see them playing together.
Easter morning Addi found her little Easter basket and we read about the Resurrection in the scriptures.
This year was a homemade Easter.
Addi helped me pick out the fabric for her Easter dress this year and I got busy on my first ever pattern dress. It wasn't perfect, but it turned out cute.
Sweet Addison in her new Easter dress.
I also made this little crayon holder for Addi's Easter present. It cost me all of about fifty cents.
I had been wanting a fun, quiet way to store crayons for church and I found this idea somewhere (sorry for not giving credit. I just don't remember where I saw it).

And then what better way to spend Easter day then being able to listen to the Prophet and Apostles speak in General Conference. What a great conference it was! I was uplifted and inspired, and motivated to be more like Jesus Christ.
What a great time of year!

You are so super crafty! I wish you lived here so that you could teach me how to sew cute dresses like that! Will you make me one? :) ... you might need a little more fabric than Addi's :)

You did a great job on the dress! And the crayon holder is a great idea. Patrick still eats crayons, so I don't worry about that yet. Looks like you had a fun time!
