As many of you know, Jacob LOVES root beer, growing up his family called it the nectar of the Gods. So we decided to throw a root beer festival. We had a blast thanks to all of our friends who came and thanks to all 11 different types of root beer. Jacob got the festivities going with a little 50's swing music, then we had a name that root beer contest (See if you can identify the most common types of root beer) and we also had a taste test where we ranked our top three brands of root beer as well as our least favorite. We also did a Root Beer trivia quiz...did you know there are 2, 515 different brands of root beer?

I think Barq's was the winner as far as most votes, and bundeberg was definitely the last! Nasty if you ask me....Great if you ask Janae :)
Jacob got them all right (hence the six), but I switched two of them at the end (hence the 4) :)

oh man that looks like so much fun!! I think I would definitely have to go with Barq's also ... yummy!!
So next year, when you live in Denver, we can do it again but this time we get a keg and cook bratwurst and wear lederhosen. We can get drunk on life and the sweet nectar that is beer from ROOT.

That's awesome! We're totally going to steal your idea because we're rootbeer fanatics too! :) Our favorite rootbeer is Bulldog. We HATED Bundeburg when we tried it. Barq's will always be dear to me.
