March in Review

Just a few pictures of Addi to start the post off right :)
Fun with yogurt!

Can't wait for the cookies to be done...

She is so good at emptying the cupboards...I love it
Playing with mommies jewelry
Just our happy little Addi :)

Now on to the actual events of this past month...
As many of you probably already know, last week Jacob had an emergency appendectomy on Monday at around 2:00 in the morning. He had been hurting the entire day, and it kept getting worse, so I convinced him to go to the emergency room and 4 hours later he was in surgery. It has been one week since then and he is doing much better now that the pain and nausea are gone! I am so glad that we got him to the hospital when we did, who knows what could have happened if he would have waited. I love you babe and I'm glad you are feeling better :)

On to some lighter notes...I had a great 23rd birthday! Jacob spoiled me and I loved it...he is such a great husband! (Note: If we look sweaty, we are...we just got back from playing some mad volleyball :)

We also had a blast on a one night camp out (Addi's first) We camped at St. Andrews (the alligator park) but don't worry we were no where near the swamp :)

Addi and daddy sharing a moment with their marshmallows.

Roasting hot dogs for dinner...Addi loved them. She kept saying Dot-dog
Mmmmmmmmm :) looks pretty appetizing

Addi slept for about 6 hours in her pack-n-play then spent the last few snuggled in between Jacob and I. Gotta love the bottom in the air.
Playing in the tentPlaying in the dirt...we noticed right after we took this picture that it was actually a pile of fire ants. That was frightening, but we managed to get her out with only one bite. Those little ants can leave a nasty sting. Addi was tough though :)

We love to eat dirt!

We took our first swim this year. It was a little chilly, but Addi got in so it couldn't be that bad.
Gotta love those rolls! Is he walking on water?
Fun, Fun, Fun
This month, Addi and I were both able to go horse/pony back riding. It was a blast! Addi and I both loved the horses, and stayed for hours just enjoying the nice country air and space.
I'm so surprised that Addi actually got on the horse. She couldn't stop saying naaayyyy.
Judge the pony pulling us on the buggy.
Addi had to stop and pick some grass flowers...that is one of her favorite things lately. They usually end up crumpled when she gives them to me, but it only adds to the sweetness.
And of course...playing in the dirt :)

Tallahassee and more!

These are pictures we took of your Sunday afternoon walk. The neighbors just got done with a baby shower and gave Addi the balloons and she held on to them pretty much the entire walk :)
In this picture, a cat just ran off and she is saying "where" is the cat.
Signing cat!
Fun Balloons
Still holding the balloons :)
These are pictures from our day trip to Tallahasee. This was such a fun trip! Addi slept the entire way there and back...that was great! When we got there, we found some beautiful parks to play at. Jacob really enjoyed playing frisbee golf, and Addi had fun finding the frisbees after Jacob threw them.

Looking at the turtles in the pond.
Gathering pinecones...one of Addi's favorite things
Wow mom...look at this one!
We brought fruit and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eat at the park.
Yummy apples!
The weather has been beautiful this past week so we headed to the beach then to Gulf World! Just a few pictures while we were out and about.

Addi's favorite animal was the sea-lion. When we asked if she wanted to look at the sea lion, she would growl...hahaha
Another one of Addi's favorite things is shoes. I came in our bedroom to find shoes scattered all over the bed and end tables....she was very busy at work. She makes me laugh all the time, such a funny girl!
If you will also note the silverware basket that goes in the dishwasher, which she loves to carry around with her as well.
Just a few more pictures of little Addi. She has started to become attached to her blanket, and asks for it before she goes to bed.

I had to put this picture in there because it was Jacob's first time to ever make no-bake cookies....I'd have to say he did a pretty amazing job!

These are a few of Addi's milestones and more the past few weeks...just so I can keep a record.

*She has learned how to climb up on chairs and the dishwasher

*She knows how to say No, baby, dog, cat, duck, balloon, Justus, juice, cheese, ball, more, milk and Jack (one of her friends) She doesn't say them perfectly, but she gets alot of the sounds right.

*She nods her head for yes, and shakes her head for No

* She loves to feed her baby a bottle while making eating noises.

* She still loves books, especially 'A Bug's Life' (She can't get enough of the grasshoppers)

* The other day she was looking at my earings and I told her what they were and she pointed to the picture of the first presidency...she thought I was saying Eyring...she impresses me all the time, as well as makes me laugh.

*She loves bugs and spiders

Duck Poop

Today Jacob and I were talking and we had our porch door open because Addi loves to go outside and feed cheerio. However...instead of Addi feeding Cheerio, Cheerio fed Addi. We caught Addi eating her yucky ducky poop. It was all over her hands and mouth...disgusting!!!! When I went to get her she hurried and turned away so she could finish swallowing before I got it out of her mouth. I couldn't believe it...she liked the duck poop! DISGUSTING!!! We called poison control and they said that she should be fine, just give her lots of food and water! So if you ever run into this problem, be sure to give your kids lots of food and water :)

Here is Addi after we cleaned out her mouth...she went back to the door to look at what remained...silly kid!
These next three pictures are of Addi when we first moved to Florida! I can't believe how much she has grown since we have been here. Oh how the time flies! She just keeps getting cuter and funner every day.
Now on to pictures from the past week. Addi just playin' with her toys :) Thanks again Julie for all the toys...Addi loves them!

Bathtime fun...already trying to do some math.

Fun at the park!
This is a picture of the park that we go to, it is so beautiful! I love Florida for that reason...there are trees everywhere and it is just so green!

Swinging

Playing peek-a-boo

The Dinosaur or as Addi calls it...Roaaaarrrr!

Sliding!

Addi is definitely turning into her mom when it comes to vacuuming...When Jacob got the vacuum out, she had to get hers too :)

What do two Nurse Anesthetist grad students do when they aren't studying? They shock each other with some sort of instrument that they use at the hospital and slowly turn up the intensity. All I have to say is crazy! :
Just a video of Addi dancing with Jacob.
